The Photographer

… a little ditty about me …

I like to say I am living my life one photograph at a time. A visual journey day by day. Some have a talent for writing, I can tell any story through images. As simple as an iPhone, or as elaborate as a composite from my professional gear – all equally memorable and beautiful.

I may be based in Utah but I have enjoyed traveling the globe to photograph fantastic clients. My passport is current and ready to go.

PERSONALLY… I love a tall boot, good tea and anything with a Union Jack! I love to take time to give back to the community in both teaching (locally and internationally) and charity work. In my free time I love my job of being a mom to one adorable hipster baby and wife to a fantastic geeky husband.

PROFESSIONALLY…. I have been very fortunate to have my work featured in printed magazines such as Kentucky Bride, Rangefinder, Gaga (an international publication), Professional ImageMaker (an international publication), A Bicycle Built For Two and many other industry specific forums, portrait and wedding blogs.

SO IF YOU LOVE… leafing through Anthropologie catalogs, reading diy blogs like A Beautiful Mess, adore vintage wayfarers, or thinking about adding your own personal whimsical touch to your wedding I am sure that we will go together like PB&J!

AND THE MUMBO JUMBO… I am a member of WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International), PPA (Professional Photographers of America) and SWPP (Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers).  I am an online article contributor to the IHF Photographer blog and community member.  I also am a member of The B School, a great positive network of photographers helping each other to succeed. Please feel free to comment on the blog or email me at info@ravenmathis.com. Photographer or client, let’s start a conversation!
